Warranty

At Global Window & Door Mfg, every product we manufacture is engineered to deliver long-lasting performance in Canada's demanding climate. Our windows and doors are built to meet or exceed industry standards, and we stand behind them with a comprehensive, transferable limited warranty.This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship resulting from the manufacturing process. All listed parts and components are covered for the stated period under normal use and service, subject to the terms and conditions below.

General Terms

Global Window & Door Mfg warrants patio door vinyl frame and sash components against blistering, peeling, flaking, and corroding for a period of twenty-five (25) years. All hardware is warranted against defects for two (2) years. Insulated glass panels are warranted against seal failure for ten (10) years. Workmanship and internal mini-blinds are warranted for a period of five (5) years. Exterior paint is warranted for ten (10) years to remain free of peeling, cracking, and major discoloration not caused by exposure to sunlight, heat, noxious substances, or abrasive materials.

Warranty Transfer

The Global Window & Door Mfg Limited Warranty is fully transferable at no additional cost, provided that:

  1. The original product was registered within 30 days of purchase, and
  2. A transfer notification from the new owner is submitted within 30 days of the property closing date.

Transfer notifications can be submitted online via our website or by mail to our head office.

Limitations on Repair or Replacement

Global Window & Door Mfg’s liability under this warranty is limited solely to the repair or replacement of defective parts, or substitution with equivalent components at our sole discretion.

Under no circumstances shall Global Window & Door Mfg be liable for incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to: labour costs, inconvenience, damage or injury to persons or property, or any other related expense.

This warranty is void if:

  • The product has been modified or altered after installation without written consent from Global Window & Door Mfg
  • The product is used for a purpose other than intended
  • Harmful cleaning solutions or abrasive compounds have been applied
  • Any product has been manufactured outside of Global Window & Door Mfg’s stated specifications

Registration requirement: This Limited Warranty must be registered within 15 days of the completion of installation to be valid. Registration can be completed online or by mail, and must include: Dealer name, invoice or work order number, date of purchase, and date of installation.

Exclusions from Coverage

The following are not covered under this warranty:

  • Damage caused by exposure to harmful pollutants, corrosion of non-vinyl components due to proximity to coastal areas, excessive thermal or physical stress, or high humidity levels (including improper storage).
  • Damage resulting from the settlement or shifting of the building structure.
  • Damage caused by wind, hail, lightning, flooding, or other weather-related events deemed an act of God.
  • Minor cosmetic imperfections that do not affect structural integrity or obscure vision.
  • Any product repaired or modified by anyone other than a factory-trained Service Technician or authorized Global Window & Door Mfg representative.
  • Any non-Global Window & Door Mfg add-on or replacement parts added to the product.
  • Defects, malfunctions, or failures resulting from unreasonable use, improper application, or failure to perform routine maintenance.
  • Products installed with visible defects (scratches, dents, cracks, or damaged components) that were not reported prior to installation.
  • Any product that has not been paid in full, or was sold through an account not in good standing.
  • Condensation on windows, which may occur naturally due to indoor humidity levels. 

How to File a Warranty Claim

To submit a warranty claim, please contact us with the following information ready:

  • Proof of purchase (invoice or work order number)
  • Date of installation
  • Dealer name
  • Description of the issue (photos appreciated)
